And then there were four

I still remember the day we brought Paisley home for the first time.. I can only imagine a glimpse of what it's like bringing a baby home. But that day was special. Watching her adapt and seeing her personality grow. There's just a soft place for that day in my heart. And of course every day after that. She's a special one!
Which is why we decided to give her a brother..

Meet, Maddix!

He's a cute little bugger!!

When we first brought him home, Paisley didn't know what to do with him. "what is this" "do I play with it" ? But she soon warmed right up and they became pals!

Maddix can't sleep without touching her

Best Friends

Our family feels so much bigger now all of a sudden! And he's a lot of work only being 8 weeks, but we wouldn't change a thing! Love my life!

Here's to..

Let me just explain myself.. I Never drop my phone, or lose it, and i rarely forget it. But for some reason, whenever i am with Paul, i somehow manage to do ALL these things. So of course he thinks I'm some space cadet that doesn't know or care how to take good care of my things. I tell him every time that it's because I'm so distracted by him and his attractiveness and can't help but focus on anything else but him.  He rolls his eyes. But there really is no other explanation than this. It's the only time it happens.

Now let me explain Paul.. He. LOVES. Apple. Enough said? I'm not kidding. Obsessed. He has to have EVERY newest, latest, and greatest product that comes out.

So of all the phones I've ever had, i officially got my first crack in the screen. (taking note, this is the first damage, at all, that i've ever had to any phone i've ever owned.. i'm just that good ok.)
I didn't know what to think.
With the words, "Oh Crap" probably running through my head about a hundred times, I was mostly terrified that Paul was going to kill me. Because, how on earth could i possibly treat an Apple product so..? How could this be? This is a disgrace. Our name should be banned from everything. We will be disowned. Shame.

How did he react might you ask?

Well yes, he was quite concerned that i could let something like that happen to an Apple product..
But then he got that smirk. The one that i know all too well. And the famous words came out. "Well, we'll just have to get the knew one when it comes out." How did i not see this coming? Duh, I knew it was. Could i have made it any more convenient for him? Ha, nope! Just that i gave him one more excuse to get ANOTHER newest, latest, and greatest Apple product to fill our home. Just what we need.
Lovely.

The phone actually works great still. No effects from it. But, i somehow just don't think that will be enough.
So I guess, here's to the Iphone5..

"shinglebells"

So the other weekend was our annual cabin trip with my family to pauls' family cabin. they are so awesome for letting us do this each year! we do have our own family cabin, but it is 8 hours away. so it makes it nice when we want to get away real quick, that it is so close so people can come and go as they need. especially with work. we love family get togethers. we missed my brother and his family though.. i guess i understand that bahrain may be a little too far away to just come for a few days ;) gosh i sure miss them!
none the less, we still had a good time!
you have to snowmobile in in the winter, so paul and i went a day early and hauled everything in and got it all ready. he was a trooper hauling things and people the whole time! ..and might i add, is quite talented on those things. it still makes me nervous seeing what he can do with those machines. but he loves it, and i love him. so there!
it was the weekend of a huge snow storm, so there was SO much snow to be had!
to be honest, i really was not in the mood to go up this year, i was just kind of over the snow.. but once we got up there, i had a lot of fun!
i love watching my dad up there. he is and outdoor guy, so he loves it all. but the funnest thing was watching him build the sledding hills. it's kind of out of his character to do so, so we love to take advantage of the moment and enjoy it! we built two hills next to the cabin. it can be so freaky because you are weaving in and out of trees hoping the slopes are built just right that you won't nail any of them. it's pretty exciting!
here are some pics of the trip
aiden calls snowmobiles, shinglebells. it took us the whole trip to figure out what he was saying. love that little man!

aiden loves paul

paisley's first time sledding! she wasn't quite sure what to think :)

paisley was kylie's little baby doll. she loves her

she always does this when she goes in the snow. it cracks me up

sassy pants

she loves cuddling in our jackets!

small things, for a big price

have you ever wondered why some things, in this instance small things, sometimes cost more than larger things? things we would perceive to cost much less than others so large.
we had to get a small projector fixed at work the other day, all it needed was a tiny little part to get it to work. it was going to cost more to get that piece replaced than it would to just purchase a brand new projector.
gosh it feels like so many things are this way these days.
it got me thinking...
sometimes i feel like life can be this way too. there are often things in our lives that need fixing or tuning, for me constantly, and we have the choice to address those things and make it better. no matter how much that thing has "cost" us or how much it has affected everything else in our life, we have the choice to either fix it or let it go and go without. and depending on the circumstance, either can be a good thing. i have to remind myself of this sometimes.
none the less, we manage to pull through it no matter the cost.
i am so grateful for all of the experiences that have gotten me to where i am at in life today.

my patience and i have been a little testy at work...
-no i don't speak spanish, and no one else here does either.
-no we don't want a free subscription to your magazine.
-we shouldn't allow your benefit race or anyone elses to be held in our park, to much of a hassle.
-NO REFUNDS PERIOD
-why don't you call your team manager and ask them your game times.
-i don't care how good you think your child is, no, they can't play up a grade.
-NO REFUNDS PERIOD
-sorry ma'am, it is after the deadline.. there is a $5 late fee.
-what do you not understand about THERE ARE NO MORE SPOTS AVAILABLE IN THIS PROGRAM FOR YOUR CHILD TO PLAY.

just some things i've been wanting to yell at the person i'm dealing with to get the point across to them..
but i just have to remember that, the person on the other end doesn't know the answer to the question they are asking, that is why they are asking it.. no matter how obvious we might think it is. we've been in the business for how long, so of course we know the answer.

thanks for listening to my vent session
take care!

love month tradition

i love valentines day. there's just something about all the red and pink flowing around. the hearts i see everywhere just make me happy. ( and really, those sweetart hearts, YUM! )  you hear so many people say they hate this holiday and they don't see what the big deal is. mushy, yuck.. i don't think it should matter if you have "someone special" to celebrate it with or not. i didn't always have some"one" special this time of year, but i always had family and friends. this is literally what i thought the holiday was for, showing how much you love your family and friends. so maybe that's why i always have loved it.
i loved making valentines boxes and entering them in contests to win cutest/best/most clever/etc. and having cute school parties, then passing out those little valentines you have worked on addressing to everyone in your class for weeks. who knew giving little pieces of paper, decorated with whatever cartoons you were into that year, and a piece of candy, would be so exciting! this, my friends, was one of my favorite holidays to celebrate!
but the party didn't end there. the biggest thing i looked forward to is our party at home! we've had this tradition since i can remember.. we would order authentic Chinese takeout and make a table on the floor and eat dinner like Chinese people do. no, we don't only have Chinese once a year.. it may sound simple to some, but to me it was SO exciting and something different. and sometimes those things can be the precious memories that stay put in our hearts! we still to this day, carry-on this tradition! ..and will for my family to come :) my husband still married me knowing this wouldn't just be "our" night, but shared with the ones we love. bless him! don't worry, we still make time to have our "own" valentines!  yay for Chinese food!
love to all, and may you find love on your valentines day!

Love me some Paisley!

So for christmas i got a sewing machine, love it! I've already had so many inspirations with it and fabulous ideas I can't wait to try!! Here is my first project I used it for!

Mom was so proud of the outfit she made for me, so sure, I'd love to show it off!

I am hard to catch a clear photo of because I'm still a puppy and love to play and play, so moms' best luck of getting a good one of me is when I'm sleeping!

p.s. I love my leg warmers!

This picture says it all,
My Loves!!

I never knew the love a puppy could bring to one person.. Sure you hear "it's different when they're your own", but it really is so true! I'm sure the same is with kids. But I just can't believe how much I love this little babe! She brings me so much happiness! I'm so lucky to be her mom! :)
