Maybe some changes happened..

Well I guess it's been long enough since I posted last! And only a few things have maybe changed since then..
After 4 1/2 years of marriage and 1 long year of trying to get pregnant, Preslee Lila Matheson joined our family on June 28, 2013. Weighing in at 8lbs 14oz 19 1/2 inches long.

My original due date was June 24, so they went ahead and induced me first thing on the 27th. After 32hrs of labor and barely dilated to a 1, we had to make the decision to keep going or do a c section. This was a very difficult decision because I didn't want to "give up", but after receiving a blessing we felt like we needed to go ahead with a c section. And sure enough, as soon as the doctor opened me up to get her, he said we would have had to do a c section no matter what because of her positioning and the chord being wrapped around her neck. It was the hardest, scariest, and best experience I've ever had.
This man is my rock.

It's true what they say, that love you experience the moment your eyes see them is indescribable.

I have loved seeing Paul become a daddy. He's gentle, loving, and a little more patient and I couldn't have been luckier to have him as a husband and father.

The spirit these babies bring into this world is a miracle and so perfect, that you know there is a God who created this. I know without a shadow of a doubt that she was meant for our family, and the things I have already learned from her can't even compare to what a parent is supposed to "teach".

My heart is so full of love for this babe, I feel like it's going to burst. πŸ˜πŸ’“

There is just something about a sleeping baby that melts my heart.
She has had quite an active two months since she was born..
From fireworks

To rodeos

To road trips to St. George and Salmon

To pool days

To meeting three of her great grandmas

To her first wiener roast and s'more cookout

Four generations

Her first bike ride

Visiting grandpa great's grave

Lots of ruffle bums

Naps and cuddles with dad

Her first volleyball game- cheering on aunt Nenna

First time to Lagoon

Just to name a few..
This has been the best summer we've ever had. Of course because she came into our lives, but also because Paul was able to take 12 weeks off of work with me, so we have been able to do everything together. We have never seen each other or spent as much time together in our whole almost five years of marriage than we have in the past eight weeks. It has truly been heaven!

I Love this man! πŸ’–And am so grateful I get to spend eternity with him and raise a family together.
